A seasoned professional with over 26 years of experience in leading teams and managing successful ICT projects for large and international consulting firms.
 
Project Management, Strategic Planning, Business Modeling, Client Needs Analysis, Functional Analysis, Detailed Designs, Impact Analysis, Risk Analysis, Systems Architecture, Application Development, Quality Control, Testing and Staging, Service Support Models, Technical Support and Training Management, are few of his broad capabilities.
 
At neXgen, Maroun was the Project Director for the ‘Smart City’ Feasibility Study for the account of a major Real Estate Developer in Abu Dhabi and in the Middle East. He was the Project Director for the launch of a venture for a major UAE Service Provider, responsible for the operational and financial frameworks, products and services definition and creation, technology designs, sales, marketing and go-to-market activities. The Project Director for the ‘Launch Office’ initiative of a major Real Estate Developer in Qatar and in the Middle East, Maroun lead the teams that conceived, developed and implemented a corporate Call Center for all business entities and spearheaded all aspects of project management activities for the integration of the corporate IT Department (50 people strong) into the Technologies Department. He also helped streamline various working environments by establishing a common business and service strategy and by building common technical and operational standards, he stabilized the IT infrastructures and helped rebuild the end-user trust.
 
Prior to neXgen, Maroun was a Project Director at CGI and a Senior Advisor in the CGI Management Team responsible of the 2 Billion US Dollar outsourcing contract for Desjardins Bank of Canada (Fédération des Caisses Populaires Desjardins) where he spearheaded all aspects of the project management.
 
Before CGI, Maroun was a Project Director and a founding member of Softsolutions’ International Team where he opened the US market and was in charge of all project management and implementation activities in the US and the Canadian territories for all Softsolutions’ products and services. An active member of the NRF’s ARTS, the technical arm responsible to set the standards of the business XML message exchange.
 
Prior to that, Maroun was CIO and Director of Computing Services at Notre Dame University responsible for all the administrative and academic ICT infrastructure at the University, including design, development, implementation and support for network, systems and IT applications.
 
Maroun graduated from the Québéc University in Montréal, Canada in 1984, with a B.Sc. in Computer Information Systems with a Minor in Business Administration, and has attended extensive project management and other courses in various management and technical fields.
