Labib Matta, Senior Director, neXgen Group

A seasoned professional with over 22 years of experience in the IT, telecom and real estate industries, Labib has an extensive exposure to developing and leading successful lines of business for international players and launching startup companies in telecom and IT.

As a Senior Partner/Director at neXgen, Labib leads the critical and strategic client engagements, contributing extensively to the business modeling, services strategy,financial modeling and go to market strategy areas.Labib is also focused on developing the practices’ content and deliverables, introducing leading methods and emerging theories while leveraging regional experience and in depth industry and market understanding.

Prior to neXgen, Labib was the chief executive officer of Nuetel communications, responsible for launching the alternative triple play telecom and real estate services provider entity.That entailed building Nuetel’s organization, defining business, financial and go to market plans as well as ensuring operational viability and scalability.He led the multi-million dollar venture with British Telecom (BT) for the installation of the first BT international voice noce outside the UK.

Prior to Nuetel, Labib led several roles within Cisco Systems Middle East from Vertical Business Manager Middle East Africa for the Connected Real Estate to Area sales Manager north gulf responsible for enterprise and service provider business in Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar. Prior to moving to the middle east, Labib was the finance vertical manager for Nortel Networks in Toronto, Canada.

Labib’s focus is on entrepeneurship,innovation and helping customers develop successful business models and partnership strategies in the telecom, government and real estate.

Labib graduated from the American University of Beirut with a B.E in electrical engineering and has attended extensive management and technical training.He is currently finalizing his Executive MBA at London Business School.
